Recidivism is defined as a tendency to relapse into a previous condition or mode of behavior, especially relapse into criminal and addictive behavior. Often percentages are given as a rate of recidivism. It’s measured differently by different groups so it’s very difficult to give an actual percentage. I’m told it’s around 76%. This high percentage should concern everyone. Spiritually, we know we have a God who is the Mighty Physician and willing to heal these broken women, most often addicted to drugs! Without places like Wings of God, these “moms”, most are mothers, will continue the vicious cycle that will impact their families for generations to come. With this problem come increased crime rates, broken homes, and a playground for the devil, and lives that spiral out of control and even to death. The broken pieces left behind are devastating to everyone.

The goal at Wings of God is to facilitate positive life change for women who have experienced incarceration. We provide a safe and healthy, Christ-centered home, drug-free and filled with the love of God.  We hope our Pearls will grow leaps and bounds spiritually and learn to live life drug-free, totally content, and abiding in our Lord.

Women in our care know they are living at Wings of God for a purpose, and the one year minimum commitment is very short compared to life itself. I tell them all the time their stay is just a speck of time, but a very vital speck indeed.

Executive Director

Wings of God offers many opportunities to our residents including counseling, personal mentors, daily group devotions led by area pastors/leaders, bible studies, as well as banking classes, child-rearing classes, equine therapy, employment assistance, and a host of other unique options as our wonderful volunteers continue to invest our residents to show them a new way of life.

Women in our care know they are living at Wings of God for a purpose, and the one-year minimum commitment is very short compared to life itself. I tell them all the time their stay is just a speck of time, but a very vital speck indeed. I’m amazed daily to watch as these ladies grow and make better decisions, and quit fighting with what is right, submitting and letting God rule their choices and their lives. It’s a process for all of us. It’s called a Pursuit of Holiness.

In His Service,
