The 2020 Virtual Pledge for Pearls Bucket Brigade was a success! Thank you Sponsors, Volunteers, Staff, Pearls, and everyone who went to our website or stopped by the house and gave so generously!
It was such an unknown how people would respond to a “virtual” event; covid-19 has placed us all in uncharted waters. As we met together as a team to make our plans for the event , we followed the plan of prayer:
We prayed together for wisdom to go forward as normal, or change to a virtual event.
We prayed together for the event to reach people.
We prayed together on event days that we would have a good time together and that we would be a blessing to the community.
Psalm 33:22 May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you.
We were blessed by the outpouring of love and support – and we hope that we were also a blessing to our community! We chatted with a few people who were interested in becoming a volunteer – love this! We had the opportunity to pray with a lady who stopped by the house. One kind man dropped off 2 cases of pop unexpectedly – much appreciated! So many people honked, waved, and sent smiles our way!
Special thank you to a couple of our volunteers who provided breakfast and lunch for the staff and Pearls on both event days – as well as an after-event ice cream party!
